A Universal Metal Bellow (or Universal Expansion Joint) is a type of expansion joint designed to absorb multi-directional movements in piping systems — including axial, lateral, and angular displacements.

It consists of two bellows elements connected by a central pipe (spool) and is often equipped with tie rods to control the movement and absorb pressure thrust.

• Dual Bellows Construction: Two corrugated bellows connected by a central pipe, allowing greater flexibility.

• Multi-Plane Movement: Capable of absorbing movement in multiple directions simultaneously.

• Tie Rods/Limit Rods (optional): Helps in guiding the movement and reducing pressure thrust forces on anchors.

1. Mild steel (MS) expansion bellows are flexible components used in industrial piping systems to absorb movement, including thermal expansion, contraction, vibration, and misalignment. Because of their limitations in corrosion resistance, they are less common than stainless steel (SS) bellows and are primarily used in less demanding applications. 

A Flexible Fabric Bellow is a protective and flexible covering made from high-performance industrial fabrics designed to absorb movement, isolate vibration, and protect mechanical components (such as actuators, pistons, expansion joints, or duct systems) from dust, heat, chemicals, and debris.

Unlike metal or rubber bellows, fabric bellows are lightweight, highly customizable, and can be used in low- to medium-pressure and high-temperature environments, making them ideal for industrial, HVAC, and power plant applications.
